Last Day of Bird Week
Gotta love flamingos.

SAN DIEGO – JUNE 27: In this handout photo provided by the San Diego Zoo, one of nine Caribbean flamingo chicks stands with a mature bird June 27, 2006 in San Diego, California. The chicks hatched recently and both male and female adult birds are sitting on more eggs in their nests. The earliest hatching was May 28 and the latest on June 23. Bird Week Day Four
Struggled a bit with this Shoebill. The beak was fun, but the feathers were a pain.

Bird Week Day 3
Peafowl is the topic for the day. I’m trying to make some more artistic choices with my pieces, to give them more interest. Practice makes perfect.

Secretary Bird
Sketch Daily is doing a bird themed week, and this is my digital painting for day 2. Feathers are tricky!

Grizzly Bear
Someday I’d love to see a bear in the wild. They are such incredible creatures. As I worked on this piece I had a good time playing with the textures, and I’m happy with how it turned out.
