The Hanging Tree

Sorry it has been so long since I’ve posted, School has been crazy. Like many of you, I have read and, for the most part, enjoyed the Hunger Games Series. For those of you who have read the third book, you will remember the song called “The Hanging Tree.” For one of my classes I had to design an album cover, and I chose to do it for “The Hanging Tree.” Here is a version on youtube. Below is my album cover.

Long Time No Blog!

I realized today that it has been far too long since I posted my work. This is an old one that I made a few months ago, but I think you guys will like it. I took this photo whilst on a cruise in Europe a couple years ago. This is in Tallin, Estonia.

Finally!!

Sorry it has been a while since I last posted my work, life has been really hectic this last week. I did finally have time to finish this project however, and I hope you like it. This is my niece Maddi. I thought the photo was cute so I decided to give you guys a break from animals and make her instead. I know it isn’t perfect, but I just don’t have the time to perfect this piece.

A Page From My Book

I felt like sharing another page from my book today. This is one of the dog creeping up on a goose. Like always I posted the original photo, which I did not take, which I used as a template for my dog above mine. Instead of just posting the dog, however, I also posted the rest of the page minus text. Enjoy!

UVU Racquetball

I used to play racquetball for UVU (Utah Valley University), and because many of my friends remain on the team and tonight will be the first night of the 2012 Wolverine Open, I’m posting this. It’s nothing fancy but I’m working on a new idea that I will post in a couple days probably. Until then…

Arooooo Aroooooooo!!!!

Yup, That is me howling. Haha. As with many days at school, I got bored waiting for my class to start, so I started a new project. This one took me a bit longer so I finished it when I got home. As you will see I changed pretty much everything about the wolf, but I’m still posting the photo to show you where I got my inspiration. Hope you like it!

Unfinished Product

I got bored again while studying for a test and made this. I don’t plan to finish it. I love Hedwig, but I don’t like making owls. Haha.

TIGER!!!

I got bored waiting for my class today and made a tiger. Haha. I didn’t take the photo, I just made the illustration. I think this is a good example of constructive boredom. Enjoy!

Another Dog I Made

As I’m sure you gathered from the title, this is another example of the dogs I made for the book. Like before, I posted it next to the original photo I used as a template. As you will notice I did not do all the colors of the original dog, this was because the book was about a specific border collie so I needed the colors to match my other illustrations rather than the photo. I did not take the original photo, I just made the illustration, and I made the frisbee just for fun.

PUPPIES!!!

This last year I wrote and illustrated a book for my best friend’s mom. She is in love with border collies, so i knew i had to do it about one, and since I love dogs too it made it pretty easy. Here is the one I made of her dog. Let me know what you think. Max The Dog I wasn’t going for a perfect replica of him, I mostly wanted him to be recognizable but still work well with the style I had chosen for the rest of the book.
