Bigfoot Logo
Recently I have begun believing in Bigfoot… or at least the possibility of such creatures. This inspired me to create a logo for it. Here it is. Bigfoot
Self Portrait… Sort of
I have never liked the idea of drawing myself, so, when asked to make something that is a representation of me, I made this. I admit I looked online for inspiration, and found a similar graphic, that piece that I found influenced me to make this. By way of explanation, I feel I should share that I am well known for being prone to accident, hence the bandages 🙂
Random Idea
Now I know that when designing a logo less is more and the more detail thrown in the more messy it looks, and usually when making a logo you want something simple, memorable, and unique. This is why I don’t like this as a logo, but I like it as an idea. I think it is interesting to think of art within art, meaning that the background art really doesn’t matter like the art within it does. Here was my attempt at explaining said idea.
Favorite Animal
My niece asked me the other day if I could draw my favorite animal. I grabbed a piece of paper, drew a circle with a couple stick legs, added a head and some strange horns and handed it to her. She didn’t seem to think that was enough, so I made this for her. I figured people might like seeing it even though it isn’t my best work.
Playing Around
I have a friend who works for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and he brought me some doughnuts when he finished his shift. This made me think of making a quick doughnut illustration. I chose to make it a picnic scene because of how much I miss summer. I did this very quickly so don’t get too frustrated with me.
Favor for Christmas
This past christmas my mom asked me to do her a favor and make a nutcracker graphic for her christmas party invitations. I worked on it for a bit and here is what I came up with. Christmas Nutcracker
After I did that, I decided to make a nutcracker that reflected my own taste. Popping out of its box… Hippie Nutcracker!!!
Here Goes Nothing… And Everything
I recently decided to modify this blog to be centered around things I create related to graphic design and illustration. I am constantly striving to improve and do better, and one of the best ways to do this is for people to see them and give me their opinions on them. Currently my MacBook Pro is being taken care of, so until I get it back it may be difficult for me to post my creations, but soon, very soon, anyone who follows this blog will be bombarded. Enjoy!
